On November 3rd, join ephemeral objects and Laine Butler for a 1-hour introductory workshop on VJing that delves into the art and craft of creating live visuals for music performances. This session offers an overview of various VJ styles, workflows, the tools and software commonly used in the field, and explores the considerations new VJs should consider when preparing their sets, from content creation to developing your style. The facilitators will provide a high-level overview demo of popular VJ software Resolume, VDMX, and TouchDesigner (AAVJ).

Additionally, learn pragmatic tips, best practices for successfully executing a live show, and considerations when working with venues and promoters. Whether you’re new to Jing or looking to refine your skills, this workshop will equip you with valuable knowledge and techniques to enhance your artistic practice.

The workshop will be hosted at Atelier 254, November 3rd, on day two of Fountains: Series Il Symposium between 7-8pm. Our suggested cost to cover the workshop costs is $15. We offer tiered ticketing for those who face financial barriers in trust that our community will support us as they are able. If our options are not feasible for you, please contact us at contact.fountains@gmail.com. Access tickets on our linktree in our bio!
