"Must it always be the four-walled, silent white room that sets the tone for us to digest art? The century-old format of displaying work in this way exaggerates the solitary nature of the artist, a convention which has been incidentally toyed with by the collaborative nature of Chapel Sound and their contemporaries. Balance is a show geared to close the divide between viewers and artists, collaborators and curators, virtuosos and Curious Georges.

Although the show takes place at a site that does indeed have four walls, we invite you to try your hand at a new way of engaging with and within the space. Leave pretension behind, enjoy a cool beverage, and ingratiate yourself into the sights and sounds of Vancouver's freshest innovators. "
